Why Walmart shoppers love Allswell’s $13 soothing candle

Once upon a time, I used to buy myself pretty candles on a semi-regular basis — you know, as a little treat. I used to love going to boutiques in my neighborhood and picking out a unique craft to take home just because I needed a pick me up after a long day or just because I felt the urge to make an impulse purchase. But now that a boogie candle can cost you upwards of $40 (and that’s being generous), I’ve had to become more selective about where I buy my little home knick-knacks. The great thing is that many of our favorite affordable retailers here at AT carry inexpensive candles that are packaged just as beautifully (and smell just as heavenly) as their more expensive counterparts. Target, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx are notable examples, and more recently, Walmart. Maybe Walmart has always had good candles, but they seem to have really upped their game in recent years. For example, customers can’t seem to stop buying the Allswell 2-Wick Spa Candle, which retails for just $13. Maybe my cheap thrills can stay cheap after all.

What is the Allswell 2 Wick Spa Candle?

Allswell’s spa candle collection includes eight different scents, although the “Calm” scent is perhaps particularly popular as it comes in a simple white container. As a result, not only will smell relax, but the candle is also quite soothing to look at and easily blends in with other decor. The scent is characterized by notes of coconut, citrus and amber, which at the same time makes it a fragrance that will clear your head and complete your space with a warm, sensual ambiance. What’s more, the 15-ounce size offers a burn time of 60 hours, which is plenty for the price. Looking at other tempting scents, consider getting a few different ones. After all, that’s what Walmart shoppers do.

What Walmart reviewers are saying

Other customers have noted that Allswell candles look and smell like those you’ll find at a more expensive retailer. Even if you can’t smell them in person, at $13 each, the scents are worth a try. Who knows? You might just find your next favorite home fragrance.
