As Easter approaches, I can’t help but feel that little rush of excitement for all the joy this upcoming season brings. It’s been unusually warm here lately, a wonderful change of pace from what we’re used to this time of year. A little confusing, but I still enjoy the sun. Longer days and a subtle scent of spring in the air and everyone seems to have a little more pep in their step. That’s what I’m here for.
Since my daughter came into my life, this time of year and the joy that comes with it, has taken on a whole new meaning. I absolutely love watching her eyes light up with excitement and anticipation – the pinnacle of parenthood. And now she’s almost four, she’s had enough Easters to have an idea of what’s to come. She talked about the Easter Bunny and “so lots of chocolate!!” for weeks now. There is something special about putting sweet surprises in her Easter basket and seeing her delight as she discovers each one.
