Whenever the weather changes, I’m ready for a new home fragrance to welcome the season. It’s a way to reset your mind and the way the space feels when you have a fresh scent for your home!
Of course, when I’m looking for a way to add a nice scent to my house, I always turn to Puri. They have an amazing range of fragrances that you can simply pop into a smart diffuser and enjoy. Plus, they’re always adding new ones, which is why I decided to sample a bunch for you today!
It’s so clever how Pura lets you control the scent output from your phone in case you’re more sensitive to scent. You can find out more about how it works in our autumn fragrance review. Let’s just say I’m obsessed.
I like to have a signature scent for my house that is not so common. I don’t want people to be able to pinpoint the smell! So I tried 26 Pura fragrances to see which rose to the top for spring. (Spoiler: I love some all year round and just have to include them).

When it comes to my favorite scents, I always gravitate towards bergamot or fig for those earthy undertones. I’m not really into pure vanilla, but there are some nice ones that have vanilla as a supporting character. An amber and floral scent can be lovely as long as it ventures into muskier territory rather than a saccharine or fruity scent.
With that in mind, check out the top 10 spring scents below!
Oh me love this Palo Santo and Sage fragrance from Paddywax. This might be my new favorite. And I can already tell I’m going to put this on my entire first floor. It smells like Joshua Tree when it’s just rained, it’s warm outside, the sun is shining, and you have suntan lotion on. It’s very good.
Big Sky by Abbott is simply amazing. Really similar to Palo Santo. Just so fresh – evokes rain. There is some velvet with bergamot and amber. I love this one. It’s definitely one of my top picks for spring.
This Gone Hiking by Homesick is so good. It smells like pine and leather. Love the really fresh undertones of cedarwood and sandalwood with a touch of jasmine. I would call this a sleeper pick; it’s in my top 3!
Afternoon Retreat by Bridgewater Candle Company smells like an expensive grandma or a boutique hotel lobby. There is a legacy there. It’s like an heirloom quality — this is like a signature scent. Of course, it has amber and bergamot — two of my favorite notes — along with the wonderful essence of sandalwood.
I can’t escape my love for figs! Santorini by Brooklyn Candle Studio This one has a beautiful earthy note with amber and sandalwood. You simply cannot go wrong with this fragrance.
Ah, Taft. I can’t help but include one of them. Eden no. 1 from Taft is a bestseller for a reason. This smells like an expensive salon in the evening. You are the last one there and they only serve you. There’s that bergamot again — I just can’t get enough. But the jasmine and leather notes really make this so sophisticated.
Sweet Grace by Bridgewater Candle Company is a little powdery at first, but smells like an expensive hotel you’d walk into. The more I smell this, the more I like it. This one smells like passion fruit, sparkling tea and patchouli.
A tried and true mention goes to Fig Tree, one of my all-time favorites that I’ve mentioned many times before. It’s sweet and woody with a bit of warmth. It’s just a year-round classic that feels like home to me. I love the herbal top notes of fig with essences of green and musk.
Imagine walking into a French flower shop. Verb by Ellis Brooklyn has that sharp tangerine, basil and cedarwood scent that’s very fresh and bright and youthful. It would be cute in a little girl’s room or even in the kitchen.
If you’re going to pick one from Brooklyn Candle Studio, I think it would have to be Maui for Spring. It has a nice woody orange quality. The smell reminds me of having the house to yourself on a blissful afternoon. That bergamot, smells so fresh.
