Think about it: Spring is the perfect time to freshen up your bedroom decor. As the weather warms up, you’ll likely leave the wool blankets behind and reach for crisp, cool sheets, which for me means 100% cotton construction. While I love so many linen brands—Boll & Branch just released their Signature Vintage Washed collection, and Brooklinen always has such fun prints—I’ve been impressed with the recent linen offerings at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

I don’t always go down to these stores, but I’m so glad I did on a recent shopping trip to TJ Maxx. That’s why I found this lovely William Morris sheet set, which provides the perfect starting point for a bit of seasonal zhuzhing. My 1928 home is traditional, so I tried to incorporate furniture and textiles with a bit of history. I’ve been a big fan of William Morris’s nature-inspired designs over the past few years, as the popularity of biophilic design has brought his work back into focus. But I didn’t expect to come across prints from the William Morris archive at TJ Maxx.

Not only are these 100% cotton sheets crisp to the touch, but I also love their graphic leaf design, which is subtle because of the muted purple color. They’re springy without being overly seasonal, and even though the background is white, I think it’ll look lovely with the cream quilt I’ve been using lately. I can’t wait to see if it softens with each wash and has even more of that lived-in look that goes so well with Morris’ botanical designs.

However, the best part of these sheets has to be the price. They cost $49.99 for a queen and only $59.99 for a king, which is much, much cheaper than other Morris bedding designs I’ve seen. I’m not entirely sure which of his patterns these sheets are, but if you’re a fan of Strawberry Thief — arguably Morris’ most popular print — you’re in luck. TJ Maxx also sells a blue and white version of this iconic flower that’s available right now.

If you’re interested in the look but not the color palette of these sheet sets, I’d check your local TJ Maxx family brand stores (as well as frequently searching for “William Morris” at both TJ Maxx and Marshalls online). I’ve seen more and more of this UK-based brand, William Morris at Home, popping up there — and I don’t see the historic William Morris designs going out of style anytime soon.
