I tend to be nostalgic by nature, but lately I’ve been more and more like that. As I reflected on recent events – most notably, saying goodbye to our family cottage – thoughts of the lilac tree on our property flooded my mind. Every spring, its flowers would fill the air with the sweetest fragrance, reminding of the cherished moments spent with the family. I’ve always loved picking a few flowers to bring home at the end of a long weekend well spent, and that’s something I’ll miss forever.
Amid the bittersweet nostalgia, however, I find a sense of anticipation for new beginnings. What adventures follow our family? The feeling of a new beginning is especially appropriate for this time of year. So, let’s embrace the changes while holding on to precious memories and decorate our screens with these beautiful lilac wallpapers, carefully hand-painted by my talented friend Sarah Konyer.
