If you’re a fan of maximalist home styles and beautiful IKEA finds, and you’re looking for a new duvet cover, you might want to consider a trip to IKEA. The beloved furniture retailer recently unveiled a stunning new pink and orange striped quilt and it’s quickly taking over TikTok.
TikTok creator Valerie Van Peteghem (@valerievp) shared the discovery in a recent viral video first posted on April 2, writing, “New bed set from IKEA! This really screams spring!”
Viewers clearly agreed. Since Valerie shared her video a week ago, TikTok has garnered more than 131,500 likes and 2.2 million views.
“Okay, I’ll get this, I need some color,” one TikToker commented.
“Stop, I want my world to be this bright and fun!!! 🌸✨,” another commenter wrote. Another wrote, in all caps, “IKEA HAS THE BEST BEDDING.”
Meanwhile, some commentators pointed out that the bright color palette and undulating pattern of the duvet cover is reminiscent of other popular home decor brands such as Gustaf Westman and Dusen Dusen.
The duvet cover, which is officially named SLÅNHÖSTMAL, is available on IKEA’s website and in stores. You can purchase a twin comforter and pillowcases for $34.99, a full/queen set for $44.99, and a king set for $64.99. It’s made from a cotton-viscose blend percale fabric that the brand says is breathable and moisture-wicking.
Plus, you’ll be supporting an independent artist’s design! The quilt pattern was created by Darja Nordberg, a textile designer from Gothenburg, Sweden.
You can buy the blanket in two colors: the orange and pink stripes that TikTok users absolutely adore, as well as a black and white striped pattern for a bold, glam look in the bedroom.
This latest IKEA SLÅNHÖSTMAL quilt is far from the retailer’s only colorful, playful decor. The brand has recently launched the fourth edition of its Nyfäskarskad collection, which releases updated versions of its vintage pieces, with the latest drops taking inspiration from floral designs from the 70s.
