This blog started in September 1996. 27 years later, it’s time for a change.
Almost 3 decades after starting my home automation journey, I have found my smart home nirvana. It was a long and winding road and it was filled with great experiences, not just the many friendships made along the way.
Regular readers will still notice a decrease in the volume of posts, especially since we finished our self-build project of Automated Home 2.0 in 2020. My free time has been mostly used for another project (on electric vehicles) for the past few years and it would be a real shame to let Automated Home go. So I’m happy to say that I’ve reached an agreement for the blog to continue.
Say hello to new owner Marty as he takes over the location. The next post will be from him, outlining his plans for the future.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me with the Automated Home over the years, and especially to all the readers, your loyalty and support have always meant a lot to me.
