Hello everyone, I’m back from Florida and the great news is that the house is being rented until the end of March, so that’s a huge relief and a big box ticked! While I was there, I thought about all the little purchases I’ve made over the past two years to keep the house looking cute and feeling good, and today I’m sharing my favorite budget purchases with you. Many of these finds are from Amazon because they were easy to quickly ship while you were there, but a few are from Etsy, Target, and other sources.
I return products if they are not of good quality, but these products are great! All the plants in the house are currently artificial because we don’t live there full time yet. I got them from a few places, Michaels, Target, and HomeGoods. These artificial potted plants with trailing leaves are great for placing on shelves or tables.
These 20Γ20β outdoor cushion covers are a great buy, the fabric is soft and not that cheap polyester. I also bought this pair in mint green and they are the same softness and good quality, great for updating your outdoor cushions. I also bought this cute and inexpensive mint green coffee table to sit next to the white outdoor sofa. I did a modern spin on the ‘Golden Girls’ colors with a coral pink and mint green mix, but I really love it for this seaside home. π I ran out of time to take photos of the settee, but I’ll share pictures when I get back in early April.
I have purchased several natural wood art frames from this source on Amazon and last year compiled a list of my favorite sources for affordable hanging art frames in small and larger sizes from 16Γ20β to 24Γ36β.
I’ve added a few new things to the kitchen in fun colors like these two-sized mixed glasses and this mint green retro toaster. The Keurig single-serve coffee maker still serves up great cups of coffee. We have asked our short term tenants not to light real candles in the house, but this set of flameless candles feels like the real thing, I have bought this set several times, they make a great gift!
For the hall bathroom I bought these accessories online and they still look good after almost two years, this waterfall faucet always gets compliments from guests and this gold towel holder has held up well.
Check out the full bathroom with springs in this 2022 hallway bathroom post.
In the primary bath, I still love this mid-century walnut vanity paired with a 24Γ36β brass mirror and a sculptural brass sconce, here you can see the overall budget bathroom refresh.
In the family room, the white leather IKEA sofa and love seat still look so good after 18 months, no stains, no tears, no issues, we love them. The white color is no longer available (sad face!) but this is a great budget sofa to buy.
For outings or beach picnics, I love this cooler and folding table. I also use this cooler striped backpack to carry sandwiches or snacks for the group and carry this portable bluetooth speaker with me.
I bought this hanging chair two years ago and added this cushion and it is still in great shape after two years of use!
All the bedrooms have basic white bedding so nothing special to show for it, but I will update and personalize those spaces when I return in April. As you can see I chose a lot of cheerful colors for this home and I love how light and bright it is with all the pastel accents. Let me know if you have any further questions!
