Tucked away in Jersey City, this Victorian gem, dating back to the 1850s, was recently remodeled thanks to the extremely talented And Studio. Keeping its traditional vibes alive, the remodel is mixed with some modern touches, resulting in a space that feels cozy and charming, yet contemporary and ready for everyday life.
As you walk through the door, you will be greeted by a blend of old and new. Imagine classic Victorian architecture combined with modern furniture and lighting. The living spaces strike a balance between classic elegance and modern comfort, while the kitchen boasts shiny new gadgets alongside charming antique pieces. The tension between then and now is always there in the best way, and I’m absolutely there for it.
Everything is so good (and I keep finding new details for love), but what really steals the show are the unexpected surprises that are sprinkled throughout. Like the unusual wallpaper in the bedroom and “technically” false but actually-totally-perfect The scale of the art above the fireplace… This classic brownstone is so beautifully designed from top to bottom.
