You may know Veronica Valencia-Hughes from her show RevealedHGTV’s home renovation show, but maybe no I know she’s actually been behind the camera for most of her career.
“It’s interesting because I have two paths in my career right now,” she says. “I have my design side, which you can see Revealed, so I’m an interior designer — the creative director of my brand and my studio — but I’m also an executive producer and a behind-the-scenes designer, and I run big design shows.” Those major shows include HGTV, Netflix, ABC, NBC, Fox, CNBC and OWN and include Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (where she started at the age of 21), Home Town, Rock the Blockand more.
A few of her favorite TV moments of late? Here Revealedof course, in which she learned to be comfortable being her authentic self (and learned to be okay with mistakes) as the lead in front of the camera — and the fact that Revealed broadcast in Latin America on February 6 as Our house, our history“which is Our home, our story… and I love the name,” she says.
There is also the HGTV show Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge where she led the design. “I got to work with HGTV, Mission Control Media (the production company that hired me), and also Mattel,” she says. “The whole thing was crazy. And I didn’t realize how much I love pink!” Then there’s her judging guest Rock the Blockairing March 5 and season 3 from Home Town Downloadto be held in Florida.
