Adding Stained glass windows add a colorful, classy touch to any home, but installing them is expensive and difficult for renters. Fortunately, creative DIYers have found renter-friendly ways to add stained glass to their homes without breaking the bank. Just ask TikToker Marissa Zingg (@onecrafdiygirl), who recently shared a video documenting how she transformed her kitchen windows using stunning stained glass stickers.

In a TikTok posted on February 19, Zingg cut her square stained glass stickers to size, affixing them to each corner of her windows as well as the center of the windows. She then joined the pieces using camming lines, and the end result is a beautiful, cheap and easy upgrade. Plus, unlike other stained glass windows, you can still see what’s going on outside after it’s installed.

“This is the best fake stained glass window I’ve ever seen,” wrote one commenter. “It looks pretty realistic, and that’s coming from someone who does stained glass art.”

“I added these last year and it’s really so nice,” said another TikToker.

Even better, renters won’t have to worry about removing these stickers when it’s time to move. When one commenter asked if the stickers were removable, Zingg said, “They’re just plastic stickers! They’re coming right away!”

You can find the exact materials the DIYer used on Amazon. The trucks sell for $10.99 and come in a 12-pack, and Zingg recommended in the comments that you buy more than you think you’ll need because she had to glue some together. Each line is 20.5 inches long and 0.125 inches wide.

The stained glass decal Zingg used costs $8.78 ($18.29 per square foot) and comes ready-to-install in one long panel that’s 7.7 inches long and 9 inches wide. The product currently has a 4.3 out of 5 star rating on Amazon based on nearly 440 reviews.

“The pictures don’t do justice to how great they look in real life,” wrote one five-star reviewer. “I installed them on three doors in my home and they change the whole room. Extremely easy to install, the price was unbeatable and installation was a breeze. I like that they changed the look of the door but we can still see clearly through it.”

If you want a slightly different look, you can also purchase InHome’s All-Blue Stained Glass Stickers, which retail for $16.57 and come in a slightly larger long panel that is 15 inches long by 19 inches wide.
