When you think about it, most popular home retailers are synonymous with one best-selling product, no matter how wide their selection is. These include the viral Primrose mirror for Anthropologie, for example, or the modular (and editors’ favorite) Kova sofa for Albany Park. West Elm has several such pieces — it’s hard to pick just one when they fit the design of each category. However, if there’s one item that immediately springs to mind when we think of the brand, it’s the Slope leather chair. Although this chair comes in several different variations, whether it is a bar stool or an accent piece, you are probably the most familiar dining chair model. It may be one of West Elm’s older releases, but the contemporary design only gets better with time.

The only slight downside is that a set of two Slope chairs will set you back $800 (although I can score a set on sale right now for $640). Lucky for you, we found an almost identical set at Bed Bath & Beyond for $480 less. Amery faux leather dining chairs will instantly elevate the look of your dining room without breaking the bank.

What are Amery Faux Leather Dining Chairs?

Many dining chair models are unnecessarily uncomfortable, but you won’t find that to be the case with Amery chairs that have body contours. Their back and seat are made from one continuous piece of artificial leather that is as soft as it is durable. It curves the way your body would naturally feel, so you’ll feel as pinned and supported as you would on your sofa. Other than that, the chairs are pretty simple. The black iron frame creates a nice contrast to the caramel seat. And, if you happen to spill something on one of the chairs, you’ll have no problem wiping it up – no stains. Some assembly is required from the package, but Bed Bath & Beyond customers describe the process as quick and easy.

In addition, the medium brown color of the chair’s faux leather material will suit a variety of dining room aesthetics. However, if you want more options, head over to Amazon. There you’ll find another strikingly similar set of chairs for about the same price as the Bed Bath & Beyond chairs, and they come in some additional neutrals.

If you doubt how great the original Slope dining chairs are, just read our contributor’s great review. Meg has owned her set for over seven years and has no regrets. “I knew the chairs would look great and be comfortable, but I didn’t know they would be so comfortable at dinner would also translate to family and friends lingering long after the dishes were cleared and chatting until the candles blew out,” she wrote. “Unintentionally, we were spending twice as much time at the table instead of quickly retreating to the couch.” She also noted that chairs without arms are incredibly suitable for a small space and contribute to a less cluttered look in the dining room. But if you’re in a position to splurge on your own set, Bed Bath & Beyond’s version lets you achieve the same look for much less.

What Bed Bath & Beyond reviewers are saying

Now that Amery chairs are on sale for less than $100, there’s no better time to buy your own set and give your dining room a spring refresh. You can be sure that your new purchases will stand up to everyday use and never go out of style.
